Review
+ Cop Career is free from the problems of Racer Career. This is where you can have some fun. You can restart event anytime, you can free roam, collect jumps etc without anyone chasing you.

+ Optional objectives are main objectives - The tasks like ram 3 cars, use spike strip 5 times something that is usually given as optional tasks are main objectives in Rivals. A list is given containing 1-5 of such task, everytime you complete this list you progress to next level which also progresses the storyline. Races are just means to achieve these objectives.

- No Pause button - Yes I am talking about single player, you can't pause your game whether you are in a race/pursuit/free roam. Forcing multiplayer on everyone is very popular these days and this is another anomaly caused by the same.

- No restart event option while in a Pursuit - Playing as a racer if you are in a pursuit which you always are even in time trial events, you can't restart the race/event. This means that if you don't win you have to escape the pursuit normally or by entering the nearest safehouse before you can replay the event. Safehouses are normally 1 to 5KM away from you.

- Racer Career - You are like a rat constantly running from the cops. Pursuit never ends you always have a heat level. There are so many things that can go wrong that it becomes frustrating experience.

- Only two weapons allowed to carry - Though this gives room to strategise and decide what you should bring to a certain event type but it would have been more fun if more were allowed. This way I tested them once and selected two best of them and never touched the others again. e.g. I never called in Helicopter until the last event because it never felt useful before.

- No on screen directions - You have to rely on your mini map for directions. Though a green line appears on the road it's pretty useless because A. It's of light green color very hard to see. B. Appears when it's already too late except for the first level slow cars. C. You can follow this line but you still don't know which direction it's going to turn.

- Map - Can't zoom out to see the whole map in one screen.
